SK22

Let’s look forward and pray that God will specially anoint our SK22 Combined Anniversary Service on September 11, 2022.

Please help to pass on the service time as some of our brothers & sisters may not know the change.

Do note that it will be a VDS (Vaccination-Differentiated SMM) event, therefore, proof of vaccination via TraceTogether will be needed.

Community Bible Experience (CBE) 2022

Are you Experiencing God’s love for you?
Are you Expressing God’s love to One Another?

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.

We would like to invite all to participate in the upcoming Community Bible Experience CBE 2022 to Love God by Loving One Another.

This community experience for the entire SKMC will start on 18 September and end on 6 November.

Please prayerfully consider your participation

MCS and NCCS Responses on Section 377A

On 21 Aug, during the National Day Rally, the Prime Minister announced the Government’s intention to repeal Section 377A of the Penal Code. The Methodist Church in Singapore has already issued a statement on the matter here and a follow-up to explain our rationale here.

In addition to this, we stand with the response issued by the National Council of Churches in Singapore, which can be found here.

Please continue to keep the Government, Members of Parliament, civil society associations such as advocacy groups, religious organisations, as well as all citizens in prayer. May God grant our leaders the wisdom to legislate laws that promote the common good of our nation.

Staff Movement

The pastoral team will be away for the Pastoral Team Planning Retreat from 12 – 14 September 2022.
If there is an emergency, you can contact the church office, our lay leaders or Rev Lisa Yu.

New Born

Congratulations to Hong Choon and Grace Goh, on the arrival of their daughter, Ellie Quek, on 31 August 2022.

Condolences

We express our deepest condolences to brother Tan Lian Huat Edward for the passing of his beloved brother, Tan Lian Hua, Jason.
Brother Jason Tan returned home with our Lord Jesus on August 27, 2022.
Please remember brother Tan Lian Huat and his family in your prayers.

SKMC Pastoral CARE-Net

In such a trying time as this, we need to care for one another in Christ even more than ever. We encourage all to join the SKMC Pastoral CARE-Net (a WhatsApp Business Group Chat) to receive messages from the pastoral team. Click here to join.

Pastoral Care

These are troubled times, and the stresses we face are many. If you are in need of pastoral care and counselling, the pastors would love to come alongside you. Please make an appointment with either of the pastors directly via mobile phone or WhatsApp.
