AldersgateSG 2024 Celebration Service & Lectures

AldersgateSG is here again and it’s time to celebrate our Wesleyan heritage!

John Wesley’s encounter with the Holy Spirit, where he felt “strangely warmed”,
marked a new conviction of his sonship in God. Our founder’s emphasis on a believer’s personal and social holiness continues to be an important aspect of our Methodist tradition and guiding principles. Let us not forget our roots as we celebrate AldersgateSG 2024, and remember our Lord’s commandment in Matthew 22, which also covers Bishop Dr Gordon Wong’s quadrennium message of “Loving God by Loving Our Neighbours”.

Lift Weight Limitation Update

MCS Response to UMC’s Repeal of the Ban on Gay Clergy

Last week, the United Methodist Church (based in the United States) lifted its long-standing ban on gay clergy, which had already begun in practice. What does this mean for Methodists in Singapore?

SKMC Chiang Mai Missions Team

SKMC will be sending a team of 10 people to Chiang Mai on 23 – 30 May 2024. We ask that you join us in prayer as they prepare to go on this trip:

• Their hearts and spirits will be sensitive and open to see and participate in the work that God is doing in Chiang Mai
• That they will draw closer to each other, with the Thais, and with God as we spend time in ministry together
• That God will grant them wisdom, courage, and humility to carry out our plans in accordance with His good and pleasing will
