Thanksgiving, Events, and Announcements

Thanksgiving for SKMC Church Camp

All glory to God for His goodness to us during the church camp!

1. Thank You Lord, for bringing us together including our special needs families in such a wonderful, warm-hearted fellowship, and for granting us safe journeys to and from camp.

2. Thank you to the Church Camp Committee for your love and dedication to SKMC. Your service made the camp run smoothly and filled with care.

3. Thank you to all SKMC members who invested your money, time, and prayers to bless our community. To those who couldn’t join the camp but still gave so generously, thank you for serving without any selfish motive.

May God’s Word continue to shape us and help us grow deeper in Christ.

God has been so faithful. May His name be glorified in and through SKMC!

Compass Kids Club Volunteer Recruitment

Compass Kids Club is a bi-weekly Saturday outreach ministry by Compass Ministry for K1 and K2 children and their families in the neighbourhood. Through 2-hour sessions, we seek to share Christ’s love with children and families in a fun and meaningful way. We are looking for volunteers to serve. If you have a heart to bless the next generation and reach out to the community, we would love for you to join us. For enquiries, please WhatsApp Terence at 90932559 or scan the QR code to sign up.

Project Mezuzah

Inspired by Rev Shawn’s sermon which mentioned the Mezuzah, our care group (Sophie’s Cell) came together to handcraft these crosses as a blessing for the families in SKMC. Sale of crosses will be on 21 June at Level 1.

All proceeds will go towards the Land Lease Renewal Fund.

Community Prayer Experience

Dates: 1 July – 9 August 2026
Culmination: Day of His Power (7 August)

Our 40 Days of Prayer is back, starting from 1 July all the way to National Day. We’ll be joining churches all across Singapore to pray as one united people of Christ!

Here’s how we’ll be investing in prayer together:

1.Daily Devotions

  • We’ll be praying daily on our own, following the 40 Days prayer materials sent through our SKMC WhatsApp Channel.
  • If you haven’t joined the channel yet, scan the QR code so you don’t miss out! (Make sure to tap the Bell Icon to unmute notifications!)

2.Weekly Prayer Trio

  • We don’t just want to pray individually, but also as a community. So, just like last year, we’ll gather in groups of three to pray weekly.
  • Registrations open NEXT Sunday, so start finding your two prayer partners! Only the Group Leader needs to register on behalf of the trio.
  • (Note for Families: This time, we will also be providing family prayer guides to encourage parents to pray together with their children. More info to come!)

3. Day of His Power – 7 August

  • To wrap up the 40 days, Christians across Singapore will gather for a nationwide prayer celebration. SKMC is going to be one of the hosting churches!
  • Join us on Friday, 7 August at 8:00 PM. Let’s come together as one nation to seek God wholeheartedly in prayer!

Marriage Retreat: United for Life: God’s Design for Marriage

Family Life Ministry is organising our first marriage retreat, titled “United for Life: God’s Design for Marriage.”

This retreat is for married couples from both the 8.45am and 11am congregations, and it will be bilingual in nature.

It will be held from 9 to 11 August 2026 at St Giles Southkey, Johor Bahru. The cost is $900 per couple for 3 days and 2 nights.

After church camp, we were reminded to invest in God and in others. One meaningful way to respond is by investing in the marriage relationship that God has entrusted to us.

This is a marriage growth retreat — a time for couples to pause, reconnect, and grow together in God’s design for marriage.

The retreat will be facilitated by Ps Clarence Goh and Rosalind Goh.

We warmly invite married couples to prayerfully consider joining us. Registration is now open through the Church Center app.
