BoYM- Finding your place 2026

“Calling all young adults from 18 to 35 – this announcement is for you! Registration for FYP 2026 is now open! If you’re waiting for Uni to start, in between jobs or have a block of time from January to March next year, sign up for FYP now!

FYP, or the Finding Your Place, is a 3-month holistic discipleship programme brought to you by the Board of Youth ministry and Sterling Campus.

At FYP 2026, you’ll get to wrestle with your hard questions about faith and see how faith connects to ALL of life – including math and art! You’ll learn how to be still and hear God. You’ll get to go overseas to see God’s kingdom in action. And you’ll be part of a loving community that will support you, challenge you and help you grow deeper in God!

Here’s what one of this year’s participants said about his experience: “I went into FYP having many doubts about God & Christianity, and I was unsure of my own faith. My 3 months in FYP have truly transformed my understanding of the faith, getting to learn more about Him & appreciating what He has done for us so much more. I have also found a community filled with people I’ve grown to love and treasure 🙂 If you want to explore the faith with a community to grow together in Christ alongside you, FYP is the place for you!”

Watchnight Celebration

We end the season together at our Watchnight Celebration, giving thanks for God’s faithfulness and ending with a joyful countdown to the new year. And for those who want to linger a little longer in fellowship, the church will be open for a simple sleepover — a cosy way to start 2026 together.

Thanksgiving for Chiang Mai Missions Trip from 27 Nov to 4 Dec 2025

We give thanks to God for the safety, memories, and encounters throughout our eight days of missions in Chiang Mai. The team is grateful for all your prayers and for the blessings we received in Thailand. We have returned with full hearts after serving and being served by the local community. All glory to God!

Collection of 2nd Offering for Methodist Schools’ Foundation

The Methodist Schools’ Foundation supports the 16 Methodist Schools in their mission to provide a holistic education for our children within a Christian environment.

Annual funds are needed and raised for upgrading facilities and teaching aids, as well as bursaries and financial assistance to needy students.

In the last 28 years, more than $13.67 million has been disbursed and thousands of children have benefited.

MSF believes that every child, regardless of family circumstances, deserves our best support. Your love offering will help provide amenities and programmes for every student within our Methodist schools, that they may benefit fully and develop to their full potential.

The Methodist Schools’ Foundation (MSF) is an Institution of Public Character (IPC). You can also choose to give your offerings directly to MSF and the minimum amount for Tax Deduction Receipts (TDR) is $100. However; if you want to use electronic mode to give via PayNow or Bank transfer, please write to MSF separately via email to leah.chan@gmethodistorg.sg, attach your proof of transfer, and provide your IC Name, IC no, address and contact number for the TDR.

Offerings sent directly to SKMC will not be issued TDR.

As we have entered the Advent season, we step into a time of waiting, watching, and preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ.  Advent reminds us that God meets us in the waiting, with hope, peace, joy, and love, and invites us to look again at who Jesus truly is.

Throughout this season, we’ll reflect on the richness of Christ’s character:

• Jesus, the Prince of Peace
• Jesus, the Lamb of God
• Jesus, the Light of the World
• Jesus, the Living Water

On 21 December, we also celebrate a key moment in our church with our Baptismal, Confirmation and Membership Reception Service, welcoming new believers and members into our community.

On Christmas Day, we rejoice in the birth of the One who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and the Good Shepherd who knows us and leads us with love on the last Sunday of the year.

All are welcome to join us this season as we worship, celebrate, and encounter the One who brings peace, light, and life.

Thanksgiving for Tg. Pinang Missions Trip from 5 to 7 Dec 2025

We give thanks for the time spent with the old folks sharing the nativity story, teaching Chinese tuition and serving on Sunday.

Thanksgiving for Phayak Missions Trip from 25 Nov to 1 Dec 2025

We give thanks for :

• deepened relationships built with the villagers
• sharing the msg of “You are special” through a skit to both the children and adults.
• giving the missionaries time off as we look after their children

Daniel and Jan have been appointed as MMS missionaries

We thank God that Daniel and Jan are appointed as MMS missionaries effective 1 December 2025, for a four-year field assignment in Chiang Mai
