Local Ministry Staff (Youth Ministry)
As part of the Pastoral Team, the Local Ministry Staff for Youth Ministry will collaborate closely to guide, direct, and cultivate the spiritual growth of the Youth (ages 13-18), facilitating their transformation into fully devoted disciples of Christ.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral care, leadership, mentoring and discipleship for the youths
- Collaborate with the relevant pastor(s) and ministry coordinators to plan and execute events, including teaching sessions and fellowship meetings for the Youth Ministry
- Offer administrative support for the ministry, managing regular correspondences to families and volunteers
- Partner with parents to foster a discipling culture, providing support and resources
- Mentor potential leaders to serve in ministries
- Collaborate with other age-level ministries to oversee and facilitate the transition from youth to young adult ministry and the larger church family
- Any other additional or ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Pastor-in-Charge and/or Reporting Officer
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Relevant theological studies, qualifications, and/or experience in similar capacities
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Teachable and accountable team player with excellent communication, service, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to teach the Bible and Christian discipleship to youths
- Able to creatively plan and execute programs and events with strong time management and relational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office skills and adaptable to learning other computer applications
Personal Attributes:
- Keen interest in the well-being and lives of young people
- Passion for growing in theological knowledge and understanding contemporary issues and culture challenging the young people
- Exhibits a good service attitude and enjoys interaction with people at all levels
Availability:
- Willing to work non-traditional schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Administrative Executive (Ministry and Office Support)
The Administrative Executive (Ministry and Office Support) is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to ministries and the church office. The incumbent will work closely with the pastoral team, ministry leaders and church office team to ensure the smooth operation of activities, events, and office functions in Sengkang Methodist Church.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ministry Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to Pastors and Ministry Leaders
- Assist the congregation pastors with congregation care which includes disseminating bereavement information, ordering wreaths and hampers and contacting members.
- Procure holy communion elements and set up the sanctuary altar
- Support the design and maintenance of websites, bulletins, announcements, and notice boards.
- Collect and compile data for weekly church bulletins and worship service slides.
- Assist the Overall-in-Charge (OIC) with administrative tasks for church-wide events including catering.
- Provide administrative support during annual ministry planning sessions
- Perform additional or ad hoc duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Pastor-in-Charge
Office Administration
- Manage room booking requests and approvals for internal and external use.
- Update and maintain church membership data in compliance with PDPA regulations.
- Assist in the annual statistic reporting to CAC.
- Provide office admin and logistics support including answering calls, depositing weekly offerings, maintaining vendor records and managing office equipment and supplies.
- Perform additional or ad hoc duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Pastor-in-Charge.
Requirements:
Educational Background:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Office and Business Administration or a related/equivalent field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptable to learning other computer applications.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.
- Proficiency in graphic design and related software applications is advantageous.

- A good team player with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and take initiative.
- Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a professional, responsible, and discreet demeanour.
