CAC Special Session 2026 Update

The Annual Conference met for the Special Session at Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church (TA2) on 18 July 2026.

The Annual Conference approved the budget for Financial Year 2026-2027 of $8,972,814 with a forecasted deficit of $779,070, which CAC will cover for this round from its reserves. The budget covers the remuneration of the pastors and the Board activities.

One of the main reasons for the deficit is that CAC did not realise the projected net membership increase of 2% per annum. With inflation increasing yearly and the current low trajectory of net membership increase, it is likely to force an adjustment upwards by end of this quadrennium.

Let us continue to work together to finish the great commission.

2nd Offering
The Methodist Church practices an itinerant system where pastors commit to serving in whichever church or ministry they are appointed to. CAC Sunday reminds us that our churches belong to one annual conference, that is, CAC!

The Special 2nd Offering collected this Sunday goes toward CAC’s Central Pooling Fund, which supports CAC’s pastoral, board and ministry expenses. Thus, we appeal to the support and generosity of church members to give lovingly.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

May the Lord continue to use CAC and all of our churches for His mission of salvation to all who believe.
